Enrollment Requirement: Prerequisites: Graduate Standing in the School of Business.
The course will focus on the role of financial reporting in governance-related agency conflicts among managers, directors, and shareholders. We will also consider agency conflicts between shareholders and creditors. We will study the main theories underlying the economic relationships and then explore empirical tests of those theories.
