PHYS 3160 - Renewable Energy in Costa Rica

This course will be offered as part of a study abroad program in Costa Rica. (The program also includes a course in Anthropology.) PHYS 3160 cannot be applied toward a major or minor in Physics. The course will provide a general overview of current technologies, status, and prospects for five specific renewable energy sources in Costa Rica: hydro-energy, geothermal, biomass, wind and solar.
