The field of finance deals with the concepts of time, money, risk, how they are interrelated, and how money is budgeted and spent. Our Finance students learn from a high-ranking, internationally respected faculty, and have several experiential learning opportunities in the field, including Week on Wall Street, an active Finance Club, and the chance to work for the university’s Student Investment Fund and the University Venture Fund.

Modern finance is changing rapidly, and tomorrow’s financial leaders must be able not only to react, but also to redefine their own institutions. The Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program at the David Eccles School of Business is designed to develop innovative thinkers who will lead the next generation of financial and investment managers.

The Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program is designed to prepare students for successful careers in financial management and investment management. Completion of the program requires 31.5 semester credits, and well-prepared students can complete the MSF in as little as nine months.

The program offers preparation for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification. Students receive the certification after passing three levels of testing administered by the CFA Institute, and the MSF program includes two courses that cover material in the Level I and Level II CFA exams.

The David Eccles School of Business finance faculty is among the nation’s best, and was recently ranked in the top 25 nationally for research output. Our professors are changing how the world thinks about finance; come let them show you some new ways to think.
