Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited University (preferably an engineering degree; see Director of Graduate Studies for information on applying with a non-engineering bachelors degree)
  • Minimum of 3.0 cumulative undergraduate grade point average
  • Minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based), 80 (internet-based) OR minimum IELTS score of 6.5 for international students
  • GRE (minimum score of 155 on quantitative section)
  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • Personal statement of academic goals/purpose

Graduation Requirements

  • Successful completion of all required core courses with a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 and no individual grades lower than a C (see core courses listed below)
  • Successful completion of Advanced Design Petroleum Engineering Project
