  • A minimum of 44 hours in HDFS courses are required.
  • A minimum of 18 hours in HDFS courses must be completed at the U of U.
  • All major courses must be completed with a C- or better.

In addition to HDFS credits, a minimum of 12 credit hours is required from related areas of study. Students may choose allied hours courses from Anthropology, Communication Science and Disorders, Economics, Education, Educational Psychology, Ethnic Studies, Geography, Gender Studies, Gerontology, Health Promotion and Education, Humanities, Nutrition, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, and Special Education.
