Minimum Degree Hours:

Clinical Mental health M.Ed. Degree requires that the student complete:  (1) Cores requirements (18 hours); (2) Counseling Theory and Practice Requirements (23 Hours); (3) PC Specialization Requirements (7 Hours); (4) Counseling Approaches (12 hours) for a total of 60 hours of graduate work; and (5) complete the Master’s Comprehensive Exam

Graduation Requirements

Successful completion of the program also requires that students pass a comprehensive exam, typically conducted at the culmination of the student’s program of study. This is a multiple choice examination that mirrors the National Counselor Examination (NCE). The specific exam is the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination (CPCE).
