Graduation Requirements

  • A minimum of 53 hours in HDFS courses are required.
  • A minimum of 18 hours in HDFS courses must be completed at the U of U.
  • All major courses must be completed with a C- or better.

Honors in Human Development & Family Studies

Students seeking an HBA and HBS in Human Development & Family Studies must complete:

In addition to HDFS credits, a minimum of 12 credit hours is required from related areas of study. Students may choose allied hours courses from Anthropology, City and Metropolitan Planning, Communication Science and Disorders, Economics, Education, Educational Psychology, Ethnic Studies, Geography, Gender Studies, Gerontology, Health Promotion and Education, Humanities, Nutrition, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, and Special Education.
