Humanities is one of four Intellectual Exploration (IE) areas of study that also includes Fine Arts, Social & Behavioral Sciences, and Physical and Life Sciences. They represent traditional areas of university inquiry. Please see an advisor to learn more.
Mission Statement - Intellectual Explorations in the Humanities helps to achieve a critical understanding of human thought, cultures, and civilizations from perspectives characteristic of the humanities. Humanities area courses strive to foster analytic, interpretive, and creative abilities. Students develop intensive, interactive communication skills needed to function in the university and to contribute to the larger community as educated and informed citizens.
