Graduation Requirements

  • A capstone cooperative education experience with a park, recreation, or tourism agency is also required.
  • A 2.5 GPA is required of all students in order to enroll in the capstone cooperative education experience, PRT 4828 - The Senior Internship 
  • All PRT courses must be completed with a grade of C- or better.
  • Parks, Recreation, and Tourism courses used toward major requirements may not be more than 7 years old.

Honors in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism

Students seeking an HBA or HBS in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism must complete:

Fieldwork and Internship


Students must first complete the Pre Internship Requirement before applying for PRT 4828. Application to take 4828 must be made during the semester prior to the start of the internship. Pre Internship Requirement and PRT 4828 application materials are included in the Internship Handbook, which is available on the PRT website.
