Program in Art History and Visual Studies

The Program in Art History and Visual Studies offers a BA in Art History that prepares students for professional careers or further advanced study. A course of study in the major provides students an opportunity to specialize in visual cultures of East Asia, Latin America, ancient Greece and Rome, European Middle Ages and Byzantium, Early Modern Europe (Renaissance and Baroque), Modern Europe and the United States, and 20th and 21st c. (Modern and Contemporary). The curriculum is oriented towards an interdisciplinary global perspective.

Graduation Requirements

Students must receive a “C-” or higher in all art history coursework to satisfy degree requirements.
