Students must complete two foundational courses, WRTG 3870 - Writing as Social Practice  3875– Rhetorics and Theories (formerly 3860 Intro to Rhetoric) ; one academic or professional writing course; five courses in Writing and Rhetoric Studies; a Senior Seminar WRTG 5990 ; and three topical course electives that can be taken within the department or through other departments .

Graduation Requirements

  • All major courses must be completed with a grade of C- of better.

Honors in Writing & Rhetoric Studies

Students seeking an HBA or HBS in Writing & Rhetoric Studies must complete:
