Admission Requirements

Auditions are required for acceptance into the B.F.A. Actor Training Program and B.F.A. Musical Theatre Program. Students must be admitted to the University of Utah before they can be accepted into these majors.

Graduation Requirements

All course requirements for the major must be completed with a grade of “C” or better.

Honors in Theatre

Major Requirements for Theatre - Musical Theatre Program

Students must complete 16 credits (8 semesters) of Musical Theatre core dance courses: THEA 2650, 2651, 3650, 3651, 4650, 4651. 

Upon entering the program, students are evaluated and placed in the appropriate level dance course. Students who place into THEA 2650/2651 must advance to 3650/3651 or higher. Students who place into 3650/3651 must advance to 4650/4651.
