• A minimum of 12 Geography courses are required.
• 18 credit hours of Geography courses must be completed at the U of U.
• 12 credit hours of allied courses are also required
• All major courses must be completed with a C- or better, with the exception that all major courses for the Climate & Landscape Dynamics emphasis must be completed with a C+ or better.

These courses will generally be in the student’s interest/emphasis area and may be taken in any of the following areas: Any College of Social and Behavioral Science department (Aerospace Studies, Anthropology, Economics, Environmental and Sustainability Studies, Ethnic Studies, Family and Consumer Studies, Gender Studies, Health Society and Policy, Military Science, Naval Science, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology), as well as Atmospheric Science, Biology, Chemistry, City and Metropolitan Planning, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics, Parks Recreation and Tourism, Philosophy, or Physics.
