Ethnic Student Services

The living mission of the Center for Ethnic Student Affairs (CESA) is to provide support to students of color at the University of Utah. While primarily serving the needs of African American, American Indian, Asian American, Latina-Latino, and Pacific Islander students, CESA promotes an environment of acceptance that honors all forms of diversity. Health Insurance

University of Utah sponsors a student health insurance, specifically designed for students and their dependents. The plan is available to all undergraduate students taking 6 or more credits and all graduate students enrolled for credit. [more]

Health Services

Student Health Center Services include but are not limited to: health appointments, HIV/STD Testing & Counseling Clinic, Walk-in hours for immunizations, low cost TB tests, sports medicine clinics, travel clinics, and prescription assistance. [more]

International Student & Scholar Services

Residency

There are different tuition rates for Utah residents and for non-residents. Your initial residency classification is made when you are admitted, and will be included in your official letter of acceptance. If you are classified as a Non-resident but feel you should qualify for Resident status, you may submit an application for reclassification with the appropriate supporting documentation. [more]

Testing Center

The Testing Center is a unit of the University Counseling Center under the larger division of Student Affairs. We provide a variety of services for the campus community and the intermountain area. [more]

University Surplus and Salvage

The University Surplus and Salvage Department receives and sells University of Utah surplus property. [more]

Veterans Services

Each year, hundreds of University of Utah students use VA benefits to help pay for courses leading to University of Utah degrees, including graduate degrees. The Veteran Services unit of the Registrar’s Office provides assistance and information to our student veterans and their dependents. [more]

The Center for Student Wellness is your portal for information, resources and solutions for wellness-related issues. We offer one-stop shopping vs. searching all over campus for available resources. The University of Utah Press is an agency of the J. Willard Marriott Library of The University of Utah. In accordance with the mission of the University, the Press publishes and disseminates scholarly books in selected fields, as well as other printed and recorded materials of significance to Utah, the region, the country, and the world. The J. Willard Marriott Library serves as the flagship academic library for the Utah State System of Higher Education. Research Opportunities

Office of Undergraduate Research

To support undergraduate students wishing to get involved in research, the Office of Undergraduate Research offers research grants, travel grants, and the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP), which provides undergraduate students the chance to collaborate with faculty members on cutting-edge research. Students get first-had experience with research proposals, funding, and presentations, giving students a head start toward working in the research field of their choice. We also offer a transcript designation-the Undergraduate Student Research Designation (URSD)-to officially recognize students who have devoted themselves to research as an undergraduate at the U. The Community Engaged Scholars Program is an academically challenging program that supports and recognizes University of Utah students in addressing community needs. Study Abroad

The Center for Learning Abroad seeks to positively impact students, the campus, and the community by fostering connections between the University and the world. University Studies Degree

Western Undergraduate Exchange

The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is a program of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). This award represents a tuition discount for nonresident high school seniors who will be first-time entering freshmen only.  [more]
