Specialist Field Practicum I

Description

In specialist year practicum, students apply advanced roles, models, and social work theories to agency practice that supports their area of specialization. Under the supervision of an approved field instructor, students build upon generalist fieldwork to increase their skills in advanced, multi-modal developmentally focused areas of social work practice that incorporates inclusive, just and culturally responsive intervention and evaluation strategies that apply social work ethics, values, and skills at the micro, mezzo and macro levels.

Prerequisites: 'C+' or better in (SW 6001 AND SW 6002 AND SW 6030 AND SW 6040 AND SW 6110 AND SW 6120 AND SW 6140 AND SW 6240) OR Graduate Standing in Social Work OR Department Consent.
