Description
This course offers an in-depth exploration of various state-of-the-art software packages and emerging technologies in the area of construction engineering and management. Students will engage with advanced methods to manage, monitor and coordinate various steps of construction projects. Key topics include using photogrammetry and LiDAR technologies for modeling and analysis of built environment, advanced topics in Building Information Modeling, proper use of emerging technologies to navigate through and coordinate construction projects and applications of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR and VR) in construction. While the theoretical knowledge in those areas will be briefly discussed, the course is more focused on practical applications of commercially available technologies and software packages.
