Description
This course is designed to introduce the process of clinical reasoning as it relates to the practice of recreational therapy. Students will develop an understanding of the clinical decision making structure in selecting the correct activity-based interventions and determining the necessary activity adaptations. Through activity and task analyses, identification of personal cognitive biases, and activity adaption skills the recreational therapy student learns to make sound clinical decisions in determining client outcomes, delivering services, and conducting evaluation.
