Part of Business Fundamentals, an integrated survey of foundational business concepts. The Operations & Supply Chain component examines the strategic role of operations & supply chain and discusses specific tools and techniques that any firm can use for the implementation of its strategic goals. Operations consists of the processes that effectively produce, transform, and deliver a product or service. Operations management refers to processes within a single firm or organization, whereas supply chain management (SCM) refers to processes and exchanges across multiple organizations. In this course we will explore how firms can better organize their operations and supply chain to become more efficient and profitable.
