Digital Games and Technology Focused Modalities in Recreational Therapy
Description
This course focuses on the acquisition of activity modality skills and facilitation techniques by exploring the intersection of technology, digital applications, gaming, and recreational therapy. Specifically, students will examine current evidence supporting the use of various media in therapeutic contexts and engage in experiential learning related to mobile applications, console games, and virtual reality. This course provides interactive experiences to foster a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices involved in using technology for recreational therapy interventions.
