Mission Statement

Our mission is to build the next generation of marketing leaders who masterfully bridge high-impact creative execution with AI tools. We empower students to decode complex consumer behaviors, craft compelling brand narratives, and leverage cutting-edge analytics to drive top-line growth. We prepare dynamic leaders to launch innovative products, build enduring global brands, and create measurable value for both business and consumers.

Overview

Marketing is the strategic engine where firms discover what customers value, build compelling value propositions, and execute dynamic go-to-market strategies. Because the industry evolves rapidly, our Department of Marketing focuses on bridging quantitative rigor and artificial intelligence with high-impact creative execution, ensuring students are equipped with advanced skills they can leverage early.

Our curriculum provides robust depth across modern business disciplines, covering digital marketing and analytics, professional selling, sales technology, advertising, and customer relationship management (CRM). To prepare students for an AI-first marketplace, we integrate advanced technology into our coursework. Students gain hands-on technical expertise with search engine marketing, social media execution, sales technology, while simultaneously mastering how AI drives high-stakes marketing decisions.

Students learn how to use artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs) to enhance market research, scale content creation, and drive clear differentiation and strong brand positioning. They will also explore how AI is transforming core marketing strategies, from improving customer segmentation and targeting to optimizing value across the entire customer journey. Ultimately, these tools are applied to boost customer satisfaction, maximize customer lifetime value (CLV), and foster long-term brand loyalty.

Experiential Learning and Leadership We believe that true mastery requires action-based learning. Students build the communication and leadership skills necessary for marketing roles by applying their learning to projects and case studies.

  • AdThing: Students build, optimize, and execute real-world advertising campaigns for clients.

  • MBC Marketing Agency: Students collaborate directly with startups, applying strategic frameworks to solve complex market challenges.

  • Community and Networking: Active student-run organizations, including the AMA and the Sales Club, seamlessly connect students with a powerful network of peers, alumni, and leading employers.

A marketing education from the School of Business does more than teach the fundamentals, it gives students a decisive competitive advantage, developing them into agile, data-driven leaders ready to join one of the largest areas of employment opportunity today.
