Program Description

Students in the WLC minor explore themes across cultures and historic periods, compare national literatures and cultures, and analyze diverse types of texts (literary, visual, musical, etc.)   Students will draw on a flexible list of electives with strongly comparative content, taught in English, both within the Department of World Languages and Cultures and outside it. Students may choose from elective classes in world literature, anthropology, communication, film, gender and ethnic studies, history, and philosophy, among others.
