Program Admissions Requirements
Students pursuing a Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering (AEMS ) degree typically have a bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited US institution or a comparable institution recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education in one's home country. Applicants with degrees from other areas or nonaccredited institutions will be considered, but students may be assigned additional course work.
Graduate degree applications will be considered holistically based upon the students' ability to have sufficient expertise to complete the AEMS . Admitted students typically have an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or higher, and the university requires a 3.0. Additionally, students should have taken at least one class in statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, strength of materials, and controls. However, students with lower GPAs or lacking the requisite preliminary course knowledge, but have evidence of the student's ability to succeed are encouraged to apply. The personal statement from such students should explain their individual circumstances and describe why the student believes that they will succeed and earn an AEMS degree.
GRE scores are not required for admission. However, a GRE may improve a student's ability to be evaluated for graduate research funding.
Students that earned their bachelor's degree in a foreign country may also need to satisfy the university's English proficiency requirements.
In addition to these requirements, all students must complete the university's graduate application process. This application process may include:
Transcripts
Letter(s) of recommendation
Personal statement
Professional resume
