The purpose of this course is to introduce students to various health-related professions. The course will lay a foundation to understand the context and contributing political and social factors of health and well-being in the US and the role cultural awareness can play toward health equity. Themed panels from various health professions will be presented and students will be required to learn more about the health professions outside of class through experiential activities.
