Description

This is an introductory course primarily intended for first-year graduate students in the Learning Sciences or graduate students in adjacent fields interested in the Learning Sciences. The purpose of the course is to introduce students to basic concepts and findings relevant to theory and research in the Learning Sciences, with a specific focus on how these concepts and findings apply to formal and informal learning environments. The course also serves to familiarize students with the culture and practice of research in the Learning Sciences – with a strong focus on writing – so that they can begin to participate productively in research endeavors.
