Description

This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence (“AI”) and how it is currently being used in and around the legal system. Topics may include AI in the judicial system; access to justice; data use and data bias; AI design; use of AI in high-stakes cases; AI regulation; and using AI to create predictable, consistent, and cost-effective outcomes.
