Description
This course explores essential leadership and management principles for professional nurses emphasizing the influence of nursing leadership on organizational culture and healthcare systems. Students will examine the role of nursing leaders in fostering a culture of quality, safety, and interprofessional collaboration to enhance healthcare outcomes. Through self-discovery and clinical experience, students will cultivate and apply leadership behaviors that support a strong professional identity, while evaluating healthcare policies with a focus on social justice, health equity and ethical practice.
