Health Systems & Populations II
Description
This is the second of two courses that apply public health and systems-based practice paradigms to prepare students for the complexity of nursing practice. Students integrate nursing, public health, and health systems science to promote, protect, maintain, and restore the health of communities as a whole (populations) and of groups, families, and individuals living within communities regionally, nationally, and globally. Building on Health Systems and Populations-One, and previously learned principles of health promotion and disease prevention, students adopt a population focus for assessment and intervention and engage with the science, policy, and resources that support public health and community-oriented care.
