Description
This course offers first-year contemporary dance majors a regular physical practice focusing on fundamentals of technical facility and exploring a wide range of movement vocabularies and traditions. Potential areas of study include, but are not limited to: contemporary, modern and post-modern dance, jazz, flamenco, hip hop, and various dance forms of the African, Asian, and Latinx diasporas, as well as somatic and improvisational approaches, with specific focus guided by the instructor's expertise.
