1. Conduct/implement the RT Process by: a. Defining and measuring a variety of functional behaviors relevant to specific disabling conditions and completing functional performance testing relevant to the practice of RT. (1.b.13; 1.b.10) b. Completing client assessments through the use of standardized and non-standardized instruments, record review, interview, and observation. (1.b.11; 1.b.12; 1.b.15) c. Construct treatment plans relevant to specific disabling conditions that incorporate developmental requirements, client strengths, resources, and preferences. (1.c.7; 1.h.2.e) d. Design and implement a variety of evidence-based techniques by facilitating treatment interventions relevant to specific disabling conditions and assessed needs in the physical, social, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual domains and documented within the individualized treatment plan to reach outcomes. (1.a.23; 1.d.10; 1.d.14; 1.d.15; 1.h.3.1) e. Engage with clients in identifying treatment goals and objectives, and processing treatment interventions as they relate to individualized outcomes. (1.d.13; 1.h.3.m) f. Analyze client outcomes through a variety of systematically designed evaluation methods to determine the effectiveness of the treatment interventions. (1.c.10; 1.f.6) g. Designing discharge/transition plans relevant to client resources, support systems and needs as determined by the agency procedures and regulations. (1.c.8) h. Complete documentation according to the procedures and regulations (including charting signs, symbols, and abbreviations) established by the agency for assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, and discharge/transition summary. 2. Demonstrate through the internship process, effective individual and group leadership and therapeutic oral and written communication techniques to establish effective therapeutic relationships. (1.d.9: 1.d.11; 1.d.12)
3. Recognize the management and organizational structure of the RT Department as it relates to policies and procedures, risk management, safety, infection control, and human resources (including productivity and labor resources). (1.g.14; 1.g.16)
4. Demonstrate skills in scheduling, time management, and prioritization of tasks and decisions. (1.g.15)
5. Identify and apply clinical decision-making according to ATRA’s Standards of Practice and Professional Code of Ethics. (1.g.13)
