Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to demonstrate Advanced-Low level of proficiency to communicate in various target language contexts. In particular, the following language skills are in focus: academic writing, presentational skills, critical thinking and text interpretation, and the ability to apply course content to real-life situations through participation in community engagement learning projects.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will demonstrate understanding of major authentic cultural products, practices, and perspectives of the target non-US culture and the diversity of cultural perspectives within the target culture.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will exhibit the skills of effective teamwork and communication behaviors and attitudes working together in pairs and groups on a variety of course activities and projects.
