The Department of Entrepreneurship & Strategy at the David Eccles School of Business is globally recognized for enabling students to experience entrepreneurship in both theory and practice. Our award-winning faculty teach entrepreneurship, innovation and value-creation through new venture formation and innovative strategies. Coursework covers building blocks such as ideation, innovative business models, venture funding, strategy, product development, entrepreneurial marketing and social entrepreneurship. The Department offers numerous elective classes, a certificate, minor, major as well as a master’s degree (Master of Business Creation). Students can also apply classroom learning by participating in programs through the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute.
Undergraduate Program
The Entrepreneurship major prepares students to create their own business opportunities and ventures or apply those skills at a start-up or traditional employer. Our top-ranked curriculum will teach students to discover, create and pursue opportunities through the creation of new products and services. Students will develop the diverse range of foundational skills necessary for them to become effective entrepreneurs. The Entrepreneurship major is provided by the Department of Entrepreneurship & Strategy at the David Eccles School of Business. The Entrepreneurship Minor equips students with the foundational entrepreneurship and innovation skills necessary to create valuable solutions to pressing problems within any organizational setting.
