Program Description

Practice Leadership is designed for students who are planning leadership roles in dentistry clinical practice and professional service. The pathway will provide a structured curriculum around management and leadership. Practice Leadership Pathway has the goal of guiding students to become more self-aware and self-invested, to learn various leadership styles along with their strengths and weaknesses, and which leadership style they might naturally fall in to. We will also cover different communication styles, and how to handle difficult conversations. The Practice Leadership Pathway will also support and expound on the existing Practice Management curriculum as taught here at the dental school, namely, business plans, financial statements, systems, meetings, and goals and KPIs.
