Simple Requirements
Full-time MBA students complete an intensive week for 6 days (Monday through Saturday) the week prior to classes starting. Students will get oriented to the culture, goals, and co-curricular programs available through the MBA Program. Intensive Week includes pre-program course and in class students learn about team dynamics and a wide range of tools to effectively diagnose complex dynamics in work groups and take actions to improve performance.
The class ends with student teams completing a community service project. The experiences throughout this week enable students to build the learning community and establish a support network for their time in the MBA program.
Complete at least 25.5 credits from the following types of courses:
Electives may be taken in a wide variety of courses with the following primary areas of concentration: Finance, Marketing, Information Systems, Entrepreneurial Studies, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, and Management.
Students may elect up to 6 credits of graduate courses outside the David Eccles School of Business with the permission of the graduate advisor.
Earned from approved MGT, ACCTG, FINAN, OIS, IS, STRAT, or MKTG 6000 - 6999.
Students may take 3.0 credits of elective coursework at the 5000 level, but only with approval from the Professional MBA administration.
Internship
course Applied International Management is the Professional MBA student international trip course. Acceptance into this course is by application only. Please contact pmba@utah.edu if you are interested in this course.
