Because it is an individualized major, the expected learning outcomes vary significantly from student to student. It is primarily through the student's final capstone/thesis project, done under the supervision of their faculty advisor, that particular learning outcomes are demonstrated. Among the considerations for evaluating the capstone/thesis project are (1) a synthesis of ideas and skills gleaned from across the student's particularized program of study, that are (2) appropriate for the intended purpose of the degree, e.g., a particular graduate program or a particular employer/field of employment.
