Students will be able to describe and articulate the history, purpose, and goals of the community college sector and how the history and purpose shapes the contemporary context.

Students will be able to analyze and critique the social, economic, and political forces that shape community college policy and practice.

Students will be able to understand community college student populations and design and develop policies and practices that promote community college students' learning, development, and success.

Students will be able to apply social justice theory and concepts to their practice to promote equitable learning experiences and outcomes.
