Program Description

Graduate certificate focusing on developing leaders in the area of cybersecurity. As leaders within the firms cybersecurity efforts they will design, implement and operate a security program intended to reduce risk of compromise of the organization's data. Cybersecurity is a part of the broader field of information systems, where many of the industry workers have a non-technical educational background due to the broad nature of the topic and the need for cybersecurity at the people, process and technology levels. Learners that obtain this certificate will be better equipped to aid in the design, operation and monitoring of security controls to protect corporate and consumer data in an age of ever-increasing aggression and sophistication on the part of adversaries.

Program Admissions Requirements

  • Applicants must have completed the equivalent of a U.S. four-year Bachelor’s degree at either a regionally accredited U.S. institution or an institution recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education in their home country.

  • Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA (non-matriculated students) or a minimum 3.0 GPA in their current graduate program.

  • Recommendation by a faculty member in the OIS department within the Eccles School.
