Successful completion of Chemical Engineering Core Classes ( See “Core Courses” listed below. Core must be completed with at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average with no individual grades lower than a C)
Successful completion of Department Qualifying Examination
Successful completion of 2 teaching experiences
Successful completion of 2 publications (1 published, 1 submitted for publication)
Successful completion of elective coursework (Amount of elective coursework varies, depending on educational history. Chemical Engineering courses numbered 6000-level and above which are not listed as part of the core are considered electives. Please see the Director of Graduate Studies or Supervisory Committee Chair for more information.)
Successful completion of dissertation proposal
Successful completion of dissertation defense
Successful completion of dissertation revisions and thesis formatting
Successful completion of Intro to Research and Graduate Seminar series (please see academic advisor for more information)

At least 9 credits must be chemical engineering courses.
Earn a 3.3 gpa in core courses.
Earn an average GPA of 3.3, with no grade below a C.
At least 6 credits must be in chemical engineering courses
