Program Description

The curriculum of the MSCI focuses on the theories, models, competencies, methods, and tools used by investigators who conduct bench-to-bedside and bedside-to-community translational research. Students who complete the Certificate will gain knowledge in the core competencies of clinical research and investigation such as study design, research implementation, statistical approaches, responsible conduct of research, and community engagement. This Certificate is geared toward junior faculty committed to pursuing academic careers in clinical and translational research.

Program Admissions Requirements

  • The Certificate in Clinical and Translational Investigation is intended for students who seek to acquire critical skills in design, administration management and implementation, as well as research proposition, execution, and evaluation of innovative projects in global low resource settings.

  • Current Medical Students may elect to pursue the certificate. The Certificate is designed to foster and support students in attaining transferable research skills and will allow students to create an individualized learning plan to help them achieve their learning and career goals.

  • The program is open to students from all undergraduate education backgrounds.
