Program Description

In Ethnic Studies, you will study history and culture from the perspectives of historically underserved communities, while considering the role that racial and ethnic differences play in today’s world. This includes a focus on the distinctive social, political, cultural, linguistic and historical experiences of racialized groups in the United States. Students are equiped with the ability to be lifelong learners and leaders who examine group differences, and how these vitally shape the landscapes they inhabit. We provide transformative experiences for our students so they, in turn, can transform the world towards a more just future. From building a sustainable environment to crafting policies that shape communities our graduates have a unique perspective to contribute.
