A maximum of 15 ETHNC credits can be transferred in from other institutions.
A minimum of 18 credits in ETHNC courses must be completed at the U of U.
All major courses must be completed with a C or better.

Must complete six (6) credits of ETHNC courses at the 3000-level or above.

Students may use any First Experiences (FE) course in place of HUM 1010, but HUM 1010 is highly recommended.
Students can choose to complete an emphasis in: Asian American Studies, OR Black Studies, OR Chicanx and Latine Studies, OR Migration and Diaspora Studies, OR Native American Studies.
The student may choose NO emphasis, and complete the advanced courses as detailed below.
Earn at least 18 credits in ETHNC 3000-5000 courses. Nine (9) credits must be at the 4000-5000 level.
Must complete one Signature Experience (3 credits) but can complete up to 2 Signature Experiences (6 credits). If completing only one Signature Experience (3 credits), student must complete an additional 3 credits of Advanced Courses.
Internship must be related to topics in Ethnic Studies and approved by an Academic Advisor.
Student can fulfill their Electives with ANY Gender Studies, Ethnic Studies, and/or Disability Studies courses.

Earn at least 12 credits from courses (1000-5999 level) in ANTH, ARTH, BIO, COMM, CRIM, DISAB, ECON, EDUC, ENVST, EHUM, ENGL, FCS, GAMES, GEOG, GNDR, HIST, HONOR, HSP, IAS, LING, PHIL, POLS, PSY, RELS, SOC, SW, WLC, and/or WRTG.
