Geophysics

A grade of "B-" or better is required for all graded courses that are counted for the degree.

Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Pass the Doctoral Qualifying Examination before the end of the second year of the program

Complete a dissertation that demonstrates independent research and contributes significantly toward a better understanding of geology, geophysics, or geological engineering

Successfully defend the dissertation at a final oral examination
