Program Description
The benefits of earning the International Relations Certificate include:
enhancing and strengthening interest and understanding of international relations.
gaining analytical, problem solving, decision-making, research, and communications skills associated with international relations.
highlighting understanding of and commitment to the area of international relations.
Students who earn the International Relations Certificate are prepared to find professional success in relevant careers within international business, foreign service, US intelligence agencies, non-profit organizations, international law, and even advanced educational studies.
Program Admissions Requirements
Study for the certificate usually is undertaken in conjunction with a major such as political science, history, economics, sociology, or geography. Students who wish to work toward the certificate must submit a program of study to the program director at least three semesters prior to graduation, obtain approval for course choices, and report to the director the semester before they intend to graduate.
The certificate in international relations is granted to students who meet the University's requirements for graduation with a bachelor's degree, including the curriculum of the International Relations Program.
