Students will speak, listen, read, and write Italian at the ACTFL advanced low level or higher.

Students will appreciate key cultural differences between their own and Italian-speaking cultures and use this knowledge to better understand the literature, history, economics, politics and culture of Italy.

A broad sense of the literary and cultural traditions of Italy and the ability to work with general theoretical trends and critical methods in Italian studies
