Students should demonstrate fundamental knowledge and comprehension of the basic structure, function, operation, and role of the U.S. legal system. Students should demonstrate an understanding of the different branches of government; the relationship between federal, state, and local governments; the ways in which individuals and businesses interact with the legal system; and sources of U.S. law.
Students should demonstrate the ability to apply their understanding of the legal system to their chosen professional field. Students will be able to apply the skills they have learned in the context of their studies to applications in the real world.
