Mathematics

Students will demonstrate a good understanding of the theoretical foundations of their subject and will be able to apply theoretical concepts to solve a wide variety of problems in at least one area of specialization within mathematics.

Students will have a deep understanding of the literature in at least one particular subfield of mathematics.

Students will demonstrate an ability to present and discuss mathematics in oral, written and graphic forms.

Students will demonstrate the ability to work effectively as team members.

Students will demonstrate an understanding of their professional and ethical responsibilities and appreciation of the impact of mathematics in the societal context.

Students will have proficiency in French, German or Russian.
