Demonstrate knowledge and skills in one or more fields of music, outside the major such as composition, conducting, theory, history, pedagogy, musicology, and performance with a success rate of a "B" or better.

Demonstrate a reading ability in at least one foreign language with a success rate of a "B" or better.

Present a final project or series of special papers that demonstrates advanced research and development of new knowledge in music with a success rate of a "B" or better.
