Program Graduation Requirements
Complete course credit hours of graduate-level ME EN coursework with a grade of B- or better in each course.
Achieve a cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 in Program of Study.
Successfully complete the Ph.D. qualifying examination during the third semester (required for admission to candidacy).
Successfully complete a research proposal defense.
Successfully defend the doctoral dissertation before the supervisory committee.
Earn at least 12 credits
Approved ME EN 6XXX courses.
Earn at least 6 credits
Approved ME EN 7XXX courses.
Earn at least 15 credits
Approved Math, Science, or other Engineering courses.
Earn at least 14 credits from the following:
Students with a prior MS can apply up to 21 hours of completed graduate coursework towards the required 33 class hours (at the discretion of their Research Advisor).
