Demonstrate knowledge and skills in one or more fields of music outside the major such as composition, conducting, theory, history, pedagogy, musicology, and performance with a success rate of a "B" or better.

Interpret the repertory in their applied performance area and apply historical performance practice with a success rate of a "B" or better.

Demonstrate professional competence in the area of specialization before peers and faculty with a success rate of a "B" or better.

Present at least one of the following as related to the degree emphasis: a) a full-length public performance; b) an original composition appropriate as a final project; c) a research paper/thesis; or d) a final project that demonstrates theoretical research and writing with a success rate of a "B" or better.
