Program Description

Master of Science in Occupational Health (MSOH) degree program has detailed programmatic educational objectives for each emphasis. These MSOH degree emphases were developed by and are overseen by the RMCOEH.

The program is intended to train occupational health professionals for professional practice and/or transition to further research training.

These programs have major components in, and collaborative relationships with the University of Utah's Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Internal Medicine, and Mining Engineering. The MSOH degree can typically be completed in 1.5 to 2 years and requires a research-based master's thesis or project. Full time students may receive full or partial NIOSH stipend support.
