Improved educational experiences for all occupational health students and an appreciation of the efforts needed for directing a graduate course;
Increased knowledge of the breadth and depth of research opportunities in OEH at the University of Utah through having more advanced graduate student capabilities;
Enrichment of transdisciplinary activities across the University of Utah campus;
Provide students with increased knowledge on how to write successful grant proposals for research projects;
Improved understanding of how to take a research concept and develop it into a full research project (e.g., literature search, developing a research plan, organizing materials and resources needed to conduct the research, statistical evaluation of the results, developing conclusion, and publishing); and
Help them develop better abilities to solve businesses OEH problems and communicate potential solutions to managers in industry or policy makers in government by enrolling a more advanced capable student population and providing directions by faculty.
Occupational Health Psychology Emphasis: Demonstrate knowledge of principles and research methods in OEHS and occupational health psychology.
Occupational Health Psychology Emphasis: Participate in conceiving, designing, and/or conducting original research that advances knowledge or practice in OHP.
Occupational Health Psychology Emphasis: Convey scientific and technical information to diverse audiences through effective writing or oral communication.

Occupational Health Psychology Emphasis: Disseminate OHP-specific research findings or educational content to students, professionals, the public, or non-academic organizations.
